Marsascala apartments

I refer to the article Marsascala Development Decision Postponed (July 21). I, together with my fellow citizens, the residents of Triq il-Gandoffli, bought our apartments from a private developer about five years ago. We pay perpetual ground rent for the land payable to third parties who are not the proposed developers of the site mentioned in the article.

During acquisition, when the notarial researches of previous deeds were done, no issues ever arose which could hinder the contract of sale and our apartments were built according to the necessary permits.

Hence, we strongly believe that the site owner's claims are factually inconsistent.
