Tiffany Pisani, the Maltese woman in the running to become Britain's Next Top Model, put her middle finger up at the camera after hairdressers went against her will and chopped off her long blonde hair to give her a "pixie" look.

The clip was not included in last Monday's episode, where all the girls were given makeovers, but was featured as one of the deleted scenes on the website www.bntm.tv.

It shows Ms Pisani and the rest of the 13 finalists giggling and taking funny snapshots of themselves with their old hairdos in a specially set-up photo booth before their makeovers.

But after getting her hair chopped off, a teary Ms Pisani could be seen walking back into the photo booth and lifting her middle finger at the camera with a look of fury.

The screenshot of that moment is now being shared rapidly on online forums where viewers discuss the show, gaining Ms Pisani a reputation as one of the more feisty girls of this season.

On the same forums a number of viewers poked fun at her deep voice, while others say it makes her more memorable.

But hairdo, voice and character apart, Ms Pisani is quickly becoming a favourite of the show and has already survived two eliminations, with some of the judges insinuating that she could be transformed into an "icon".

The next show will take place tomorrow at 10 p.m. on Living TV.

Ms Pisani, 18, was able to take part in the show because her mother is British.
