Għajnsielem band in Sicily

The St Joseph Band of Għajnsielem was recently in Sicily to give a performance at Palazzolo Acreide near Syracuse, on the feast of St Paul.

The band took part in a march in the villa communale on the first day, a three-hour giro di gala around the main streets of the village and a two-hour concert at the main square on the feast day.

The delegation of around 80 people, 50 of whom were bandsmen, also visited Mount Etna and Taormina and had time to shop at the Auchan.

The trip was made possible with the collaboration of Unesco representative Ray Bondin, who lives in Għajnsielem.
