Malta Enterprise, with the support of the Malta High Commission in London, organised a business breakfast to present Corporate Village Malta to key international business personalities in the UK earlier this month.
Executive chairman Alan Camilleri outlined details of the proposed project and highlighted the involvement of the private sector. The agency is responsible to oversee, coordinate and facilitate the execution of Corporate Village Malta which is expected to carry an investment of between €150 million and €200 million.
Malta's High Commissioner to the UK, Joe Zammit Tabona, expressed his confidence that this project will be of particular interest to London-based global investors, investment advisors and international property developers, among others.
He pledged his full support in facilitating and liaising with any interested parties.
Corporate Village Malta will provide office, leisure, retail, sports and conferencing facilities in almost 130,000 square metres of space. It will also serve as the government's single point of contact for business with the location of the main regulatory and business support agencies and departments.
For Malta's EU Presidency in 2017, Corporate Village Malta is envisaged to be one of the main hubs of activity for the presidency summits and events during the six months' shared tenure.
A call for expressions of interest was launched on June 5. Interested parties have been invited to respond until September 3. Further information is available at www.corporatevillagemalta.com.
