An illegal immigrant was jailed for four months yesterday after he was returned to Malta from Italy where he was caught three days ago. Yousef Mohammed, 25, of Togo, had left the island sometime in the past few months.

He appeared before Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera and pleaded guilty to leaving Malta illegally.
