Joseph Calleja's concert on the granaries, due to be held tomorrow, has been postponed because of forecast strong winds, the organisers, NNG Promotions said.

They were not in a position to say when the concert will be held.

While apologizing for the inconvenience, NNG asked ticket holders to follow the media for more information.

"These precautions are being taken to ensure that the thousands of guests attending the event will get to enjoy the best possible experience and performance from all the artists and orchestra," NNG said.

The MIA Met Office is forecasting force 7 winds tomorrow afternoon, and the situation is not expected to get much better on Sunday.

Calleja was due to be accompanied on stage by Riccardo Cocciante, Dionne Warwick, Maltese soprano Maria Abela and singer Raquela as well as a 500-strong children's choir.
