The conference will bring together practitioners and researchers from a variety of fields related to social network analysis and mining.

Emerging trends and industry needs are to be discussed, as will experimental and theoretical work on social network analysis and mining along with their application to real life situations. Users increasingly see the internet as a social medium for interaction, the sharing of experiences and knowledge, group activities, community formation and evolution. This has led to a rising interest in social network analysis and mining in academia, politics, security and business. The study of social networks originated in the social and business communities, and has advanced significantly with the development of sophisticated research techniques.
