Those swimmers aspiring to take part in the annual Gozo-Malta Open Challenge 2010 or the Malta-Gozo-Malta Open Water Swim, both scheduled for August 21, will have the last chance to qualify by participating in a two-kilometre race today and a four-kilometre swim on August 4.

To qualify, participants must complete two two-kilometre swims or the four-kilometre swim from the Birkirkara St Joseph Open Water Series.

The club's Swimming Board has introduced a number of regulations in order to ensure the safety of the swimmers and to maintain the high organisational standards set during the past editions.

Swimmers have to submit their entry forms by not later than August 14. A pre-race meeting will be held on August 19.

Birkirkara SJ have again teamed up with Inspire to raise funds for this charitable institution.
