Obituary

DALMAS. On July 18, at her residence in Vittoriosa, MARIA ANNA, ex-SEN, went to meet the Lord at the age of 81, comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her brother Vincent and his wife Vanna, her sister Saverina, widow of Joseph Vella, together with her nephews and nieces. Funeral Mass will be held at St Lawrence parish church, Vittoriosa, today at 8.30 a.m.

SPITERI. On July 19, PHYLLIS of Birkirkara, passed away peacefully at Pax et Bonum Home, Mosta, at the venerable age of 94, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sisters Clotilde and Helen, her brother Charles, her sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8 a.m. for St Francis church, Msida Street, Birkirkara, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m. followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza will be greatly appreciated. Special thanks go to the staff and nuns of Pax et Bonum home for the elderly, Mosta. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

Marsalforn Concert

The third edition of the open-air concert Leone Goes Pop will be on tonight in Marsalforn Bay, starting at 9 p.m. It includes all-time classics by Elton John, Eric Clapton, Eros Ramazzotti, Michael Jackson, Joe Cocker, The Beatles and The Village People among others.

Hats will be a central theme and will be used for a collection in aid of Puttinu Cares Foundation. Entrance to the concert is free with seating on a first come, first served basis.

Philately Meeting

The BOV Valletta Fund Management Philately Club is holding a meeting at the Fatima Sanctuary Convent, Guardamangia, today at 6 p.m. For more information call 7931 5509.
