Three men and a teenage boy were helped out of their sinking cabin cruiser early yesterday morning after they hit a fish farm pen close to Munxar reef off the south east coast of the island.

The Armed Forces of Malta assisted the men, whose 30-foot boat is ironically named Żgiċċa, a Maltese meaning a close shave or a lucky escape.

The cabin cruiser was salvaged and the crew were brought ashore.
