Parking for disabled persons

I would like to express a couple of points concerning the lack of parking spaces for users of the blue sticker permit.

I have recently encountered a difficulty in trying to park my car in St Paul Street, Valletta in front of a government department. To my amazement, there was no such slot available for the disabled.

I also want to remark that, quite often, these slots for people with special needs are being taken up by people who do not display the blue sticker permit on their windscreen.

Members of our society have met with similar difficulties at Mellieħa Bay and at the Mediterranean Conference Centre.

It seems that amenities for people with special needs are not being seen to properly.

Are these things going to remain the same?

I hope that the authorities concerned will effect immediately the necessary action.
