New edition of parenting directory

The fourth edition of the Malta Baby and Kids Directory and its website, www.maltababyandkids.com, supported by Gasan Mamo Ltd, was launched at a party for children and parents at the animal park at Inspire, Marsascala. Children were entertained by a magician, train rides and horse-riding.

The front cover of year's edition of the Malta Baby and Kids Directory boasts a painting by competition winner Sebastian Micallef. The book includes more listings, new ideas and inspiration for days out as well as articles concerning the upbringing of children. Similarly to previous editions, the directory aims to assist parents to make informed decisions for their children.

It contains sections on pregnancy and birth, health, childcare, days out, activities, parties, shopping, sports activities, travel and general advice.

Publisher Lisa Grech said: "This year's edition is packed with new listings and exciting ideas for parents. We have meticulously researched services and facilities available and have included more ideas for entertaining children. We aim to keep parents informed and inspired." Gasan Mamo director Julian Mamo said: "Both the publication and the availability of access to the content online are essential in assisting parents to make important decisions in their child's life."

In conjunction with the launch, Inspire CEO Nathan Farrugia also announced the launch of the 'Christmas card for Inspire' competition. This is open to children aged one to 14. The 12 most original paintings and crafts will be chosen to feature on the cards. All proceeds will go directly to Inspire.
