For 75 days this summer, Monopoly is asking its fans to describe what they would do if the money in their Monopoly game - which totals $20,580 - were turned into real money. Visit www.monopoly.com for details and to enter.

The monopoly Money Makes it Real contest begins today, and entries will be accepted until September 3. Unfortunately, Malta is not eligible to take part in the contest.

Entries are to be limited to 75 words or less and should demonstrate a commitment to the spirit of monopoly, such as travel, home repair or any other activity inspired by the history of the game, the community chest and chance cards, the tokens or the game play.

Once all entries are collected, participants will invite their friends and family to vote for their entry in an attempt to be one of 75 entrants with the most votes. The 75 entries with the most votes on September 27 will be considered for the grand prize. Prizes vary by country.

In addition, Monopoly will be giving away a bonus game bank ($20,580) to S.O.S. Children's Villages, a charity organisation that builds houses for abandoned and at risk children so that they can grow up in a loving home.

For 75 hours from September 27 at Mmidnight to September 30 at 2:59 GMT, the public can vote for the project they want to see funded.
