A Pole was this morning conditionally discharged for six months after pleading guilty to damaging a telephone box in Qawra. Damages amounted to €10.18.

25-year-old Roman Antoni Glowocz, who is staying at a hotel in St Paul’s Bay also pleaded guilty to disobeying police orders.

Sources said the police received a call that there were foreigners vandalising a telephone booth.

A policeman went to see what was happening, the man ran away but the policeman ran after him and caught him.
