Go plc has appointed Duncan Howard as chief commercial officer with effect from August 1.

Mr Howard will succeed Norbert Prihoda, who was seconded to Go as chief operations officer from its major shareholder Emirates International Telecommunications LLC (EITL) in 2007.

Mr Howard has more than 16 years of mobile telecoms experience gained while working for 11 networks in Europe, North America, India and in the Middle East.

Most recently, he held the position of chief business officer for Vodafone Egypt.

Mr Prihoda will return to EITL’s head office in Dubai assuming a senior group role there. He will be responsible for setting up and managing a new central portfolio management function for all of EITL telecommunications investments across different countries.
