Obituary

ANASTASI. On July 11, at St Vincent De Paul Residence, EDWARD of Sliema, aged 92, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Marguerite and her husband David Alcock, Bernadette and her husband Joe Quinn, Robert and his wife Simone, Martin and his wife Rita, Patrick and his wife Margae, Dorothy widow of his son Mark, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his brother George and his sister Marisa and their spouses, his in-laws, Maude widow of his brother John, and Anne widow of his brother Beppe, nephews, nieces, in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul today at 2 p.m. for Stella Maris parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to Dar tal-Providenza will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

BEZZINA. On July 12, at St Catherine's Home, Attard, MARY of Ħamrun, widow of Anthony, aged 88, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Carmen, wife of Joseph Houlton, Monica, wife of Hermann Magro, her grandchildren M'Louisa, Anthony and his fiancée Louise, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Catherine's Home tomorrow at 8.30 a.m. for St Mary's parish church, Attard, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Special thanks to Sisters Maggie and Adelgisa and the carers of St Vincent Wing for their care and dedication. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

CHETCUTI. On July 12, at Mater Dei Hospital, PIETRU, aged 90, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Rose, Josephine widow of Salvu, Annie, Tony and his wife Josephine, Vince, Mary, Joe, Karmenu and his wife Antida, Vivienne and her husband Colin, his sisters Filomena and Maria Assunta, his brother-in-law Frank and his wife Jane, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 3 p.m. for St Mary parish church, Mosta, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30 p.m. followed by interment in the family grave at Mosta cemetery. Donations to Dar tal-Providenza will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

EBEJER. On July 12, at her home in Sliema, ROSE née Zammit, aged 78, widow of Walter John, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Martin and his wife Marguerite, MaryAnn, Lucienne and her husband Joseph Said, Bernie and her husband Keith Jackman, Adrian and his wife Anna, her grandchildren Karl, Christina and her husband Ali Acar, Amanda, Philippa and her husband Joseph Arrigo, Jonathan, Simon, Kate, Tara, Nikki, Philip and her great-grandchildren Shaun and Ayla, family and friends. Funeral arrangements will be announced tomorrow. No flowers by request but donations to the Malta Hospice Movement, Balzan will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

VELLA ANASTASI. On the July 11, MARY née Falzon, aged 91 comforted by the rites of Holy Church, at Mater Dei Hospital. She leaves to mourn her loss her children, Marion and her husband Frank Anastasi, Lina and her husband Arthur Grech, Carmelina widow of her son Joseph, John and his wife Lucy, Rosita and her husband Walter Camilleri, her brother Joe Falzon and his wife Betty of U.K., Iris Warne widow of Eddie, Manuel Falzon and his wife Lina, all of Australia, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Funeral Mass praesente cadavere, at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Sta Venera parish church followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to St. Joseph Institute, Santa Venera will be appreciated.

BORG - ĠANĠU of Victoria, Gozo. Unfading memories of a beloved father on the 27th anniversary of his demise. Fondly remembered by his daughter Lina and her husband George Gauci and his sons George, Joe, Maurice and Victor. The 8 a.m. Mass at Cana chapel and other Masses in various churches in Victoria will be for the repose of his soul.

BROWN. In loving memory of our dear TONY on the 16th anniversary of his passing away. Always in our thoughts and prayers and never forgotten by his aunts, uncles and cousins.

CUSCHIERI. In loving memory of WINNIE, née Naudi, a dear and beloved sister, today the 20th anniversary of her demise. Fondly remembered by her sister Marlene and her brother Anton, and their spouses, in-laws, nephews and nieces. Forever in our thoughts and daily prayers. May God grant her eternal peace and rest. Today's 6.45 p.m. Mass at the Millennium chapel, Paceville, will be offered for the repose of her soul.

MAGRI - PAMELA. On the 19th anniversary of her death. A loving wife, mother and daughter fondly remembered by her husband Albert, by her children Berta, John and Paul and by her mother Edith Moore. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

MONTANARO. In loving memory of ELVIRA, née Paris, today the ninth anniversary of her demise. Fondly remembered by her family, relatives and friends. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in parts of Princess Elizabeth, Sir Augustus Bartolo, Xatt, Abate Rigord, Gnien, Msida, Testaferrata, Sir Ugo Mifsud, Onorato Best, Sir Temi Zammit and Ġużeppi Cali streets, Antonio Nani, San Ġwann tas-Salib and Alfred Graig streets in Ta' Xbiex.

From 8.30 a.m. to noon in parts of Bufula l-Ħamra Street, Ċinju, Gardell, Alwetta, Ħuttaf, Waqqafa, Ortolon, Tal-Mlit, Merill, Ballottra, Rundun and Bilbla streets in Mosta.
