ANASTASI. On July 11, at St Vincent De Paul Residence, EDWARD of Sliema, aged 92, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Marguerite and her husband David Alcock, Bernadette and her husband Joe Quinn, Robert and his wife Simone, Martin and his wife Rita, Patrick and his wife Margae, Dorothy widow of his son Mark, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his brother George and his sister Marisa and their spouses, his in-laws, Maude widow of his brother John, and Anne widow of his brother Beppe, nephews, nieces, in-laws, other relatives and friends. MUSCAT. On July 10, STELLA, née Sammut Morale, aged 83, of Nadur, widow of John, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her beloved children Peter and his wife Rita and Joe, her most beloved grandson Mark, her sisters Paola, Maria and Coronata and her brothers Peter, Carmel and Emanuel and their respective wives, her sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Gozo General Hospital today at 4.45 p.m. for St Peter and St Paul Basilica, Nadur, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 5.30 p.m. followed by interment in the family grave at Nadur Cemetery. Donations to Fondazzjoni Arka, Għajnsielem, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

NAUDI. On July 10, at Mater Dei Hospital, ALFRED, of Fleur-de-Lys, aged 75, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his beloved wife Carmen nee' Bondin, his children Doriette and her husband Joseph Brincat, Janita and her husband Vincent Pellicano, his grandchildren Jean-Pierre, Anthea, Stephanie, Aaron and Luke, his brothers Tonio and Mario, his sister Gladys, in-laws and their respective families, numerous relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2 p.m. for Fleur-de-Lys parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Tourism institute management courses

The Institute of Tourism Studies has launched the programme of studies in its management courses for academic year 2010-2011.

The courses on offer are: Higher Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management, Diploma in Travel and Tourism, Diploma in Front Office Operations, Diploma in Housekeeping Management, Diploma and Certificate in Hotel Operations.

Students will be required to undergo local industrial trade practice in summer and those not in full-time employment will be paid a stipend starting from €27.95 per week.

The prospectus and the application forms can be obtained from the Registrar's Office, St George's Bay, St Julian's, from ITS Gozo, and from ETC job centres in Valletta, Mosta, Vittoriosa and Victoria.

Police anniversary

Pontifical Mass to mark the Police Corps' 196th anniversary will be celebrated today at 9 a.m. at St John's Co-Cathedral in Valletta followed by a medal and certificate award ceremony at noon at the Police Headquarters in Floriana.
