42,507 families recieve children's allowance

There are 42,507 families that receive children's allowance for offspring aged under 16.

The population of children under that age stands at 65,272. All qualify for the allowance, but do not qualify for the same amount. The information was given by Family Affairs Minister Dolores Cristina in reply to a parliamentary question by Anthony Agius Decelis (PL).
