No wonder the world is heading to higher turmoil. I am not saying this because we are discussing divorce. I do not consider myself wise enough to say what our country should do. But, on the other hand, I wouldn't want fellow countrymen like me to take such important decisions. We have leaders and leaders should be wise, have different perspectives to a problem and should be intelligent and mature enough to agree to what is best for our country.

Without capable and strong leaders there is no clear direction for our future and that of our children. I am a parent and, in this case, I know I am wiser than my children.

Sometimes my children ask for things or do things I do not approve of. I listen to their views. They go to the extent of saying that everyone else does it. But if what they ask for I do not see as good for them and their future, no matter who else does it, I will not give my blessing.

And I will explain to them why not. They may not like it and I may not be the best father at that time but, come Christmas and Father's Day, I get cards with warm, sincere comments and wishes.

Good leaders are not democratic or autocratic; they are both. I had true leaders who did things which I really did not like but they have my respect.
