A spectacular show of dance, music and lights characterised 'Taste of Summer', organised by Xagħra council in collabora-tion with the Body Art Dance Group in the limits of Calypso Cave.

The event started with live entertainment for children with the participation of popular cartoon characters - Winnie the Pooh, Mickey Mouse and Tigger, followed by a puppet show and games including a bouncy castle, speed lanes, face painting and balloon modelling.

Other activities included traditional music performed in bars years ago by Joseph Refalo and Emmanuel Rapa, songs by Miriam Christine Warner, Audrey Marie Bartolo and Thea Garrett and music by DJs Pierre Cordina and Clayton J.

A tug-of-war also took place between Għarb: West End and Briju Festa Għarb.

The highlight of the event was a dance show by the Body Art Dance Group with choreography by Angelo Bonello, followed by a concert by Cash and Band.
