Zejtun mayor's family grave vandalised

Unknown persons vandalised the family grave of Zejtun mayor Joe Attard last night.

In a statement, deputy mayor Joan Agius and the other Zejtun councillors condemned the vandalism and expressed their solidarity with the mayor.

They said that nothing would hinder the mayor and the council from their work and commitment towards the benefit of all the people of Zejtun.

In a statement, the Home Affairs Minister condemned the attack and hoped that police investigations would bear fruit. The vandalism was also condemned by the Parliamentary Secretariat for the Care of the Elderly, the Nationalist and Labour parties.

You may have "Hit the nail on the Head" Joe. This is personal, so this sort of crime CAN be solved, with the right kind of investigation. Even if the person responsible was not the actual offender/s, but had paid some moron to do the act.

You may add my name to the list of decent people who condemn this cowardly act.
