Jennifer Saunders in cancer battle

Comedienne Jennifer Saunders has successfully battled breast cancer, it was reported today.

The Absolutely Fabulous actress, 52, has been given the all clear after eight months of treatment, The Sun said.

Mother-of-three Ms Saunders is said to have found a lump in her breast last October, being diagnosed with cancer within days.

She was apparently given the all-clear after her treatment finished in June, and is described as being in "very good spirits".

Ms Saunders, who is best known for her work with comedy partner Dawn French, was pictured at Wimbledon last week wearing a wig and a bandanna.
