The volleyball marathon that is being held in aid of the Dar tal-Providenza was today visited by President Emeritus Eddie Fenech Adami, Archbishop Emeritus Joseph Mercieca, Opposition leader Joseph Muscat, Childen’s Commissioner Helen D’Amato and the Labour Party’s youth spokesman Owen Bonnici.

They met the players, who embarked on their 52-hour marathon yesterday at 6.30 p.m., and congratulated them for offering their time and energy for such a cause. They also encouraged the public to be generous with their donations.

During the World Cup games tomorrow, there will also be two big screens showing the football games during the marathon, being held at the Dar tal-Providenza.
