President George Abela blew a whistle to start the annual fund-raising volleyball marathon in aid of Dar tal-Providenza this evening.

The 53-hour marathon features 40 players and a small army of support volunteers.

The marathon is being held at Dar tal-Providenza, the home for persons with disability, in Siggiewi. Entertainment and food stalls have been laid on for visitors.
