A German tanker has become the first ship to enter the dockyard since its take-over by Palumbo last month.

The ship, which arrived in Malta yesterday morning, has been drydocked and is expected to be in Malta for 10 days.

Managing director Antonio Palumbo said that another ship would be coming in for repairs shortly and the dockyard was evaluating other possibilities.

"I hope that other ships will follow soon to generate more activity in our dockyard" Mr Palumbo said
