Three still on danger list after traffic accidents

A nine year-old girl who was hit by a car while crossing the road at Ghadira with her grandmother on Tuesday is still fighting for her life. The grandmother's condition is no longer critical however.

The police said an 18-year-old Russian girl who was injured while crossing Tower Road in Sliema yesterday and a woman injured in Hamrun when her car crashed into a shopfront last week were also still in critical condition.

However there has been an improvement in the condition of a 20-year-old man from Tarxien who hurt his back when he dived into the sea on Tuesday at Marsaxlokk and a 26-year-old motorcyclist from Birzebbuga who had been critically injured when his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a bus near Addolorata Cemetery, also on Tuesday.
