Although no one is perfect and we all do bad things at times, I wonder if moral values are taught as part of the school curiculm here in Malta. If they are not ,then they are just as important as any other subject, in guiding children as they become adults. Doing the right thing, and behaving with integrity, is a major part of a successful productive life, which benefits those around you also.

I suppose during their religion lessons students are given such moral values - I mean they are quite universal. But sometimes the role of the teacher becomes that of either baby-sitter or of policing - as some classes are next to impossible to teach!
