The U-17 and U-21 men's national teams will represent the country at next month's Partille Cup, a tournament organised by IK Savehof, a club from Gothenburg.
The U-21 team, under the guidance of Matthew Mamo, is scheduled to play three Swedish teams, one from Denmark and a German outfit in the group stage.
Malta U-17 are coached by Chris McClean and Joseph Tanti. They face three Swedish teams and one each from Denmark and Iceland.
Alan Grima was appointed head of delegation.
In a short statement, the Malta Handball Association said the aim behind the trip to Sweden is to give playing experience at international level to the country's promising youngsters and provide them with a taste of what it means to live the handball spirit.
