After Zammit Clapp Hospital patients were integrated in Karen Grech Rehabilitation Hospital, structural works will be undertaken to turn the former into a facility for senior citizens needing long-term care.

Answering parliamentary questions by Labour MP Carmelo Abela, Health Minister Joseph Cassar said there were plans to date on the future use of Sir Paul Boffa and St Luke's hospitals.

I totally agree with this opinion. All the best sites are falling into private hands. As I said in another comment, we have to find a way of consolidating social needs with sustainability. When I once complained that Sliema's aged deserve a residential home in their own environment, I was asked, "But where is the space?" !!! Political priorities are not correct.
