A man who stole €11,650 worth of goods back in 2005 was this morning jailed for three years and three months.

Alexander Gialanze Whiteford was found guilty to breaking into a house and stealing €9,320 worth of jewellery and €2,330 worth of electronic items. He was also found guilty of relapsing.

In handing out punishment, the court took into consideration that Mr Gialanze Whiteford had already been given a number of chances.
