The medical condition of two men who were injured in separate head-on collisions earlier this month has improved and they are no longer on the critical list, the police said.

The incidents took place on June 5 and June 18.

In the first , two cars had crashed at Mdina Road, Zebbug, leaving a 48-year-old from Dingli fighting for his life.

The second involved a crash between a Ford Transit van and a Daewoo Cielo at Triq-Is-Salini, Naxxar. A 46-year-old man from St Paul's Bay had been critically injured.
