Is Malta trying to be a Third World country or is it just by accident that it is so disorganised? All newsprint spouted that Sunday's match between England and Germany could be viewed on TVM, Melita, and Rai.

Promptly at 4 p.m. I expected to see it on TVM and what did we get? Five men and a woman having a boring discussion about past games but no match. Tried Rai and nothing on there either.

Enquires among my friends told me that the match has been given exclusively to, guess who, Melita Sports. Where was this information published, how long ago, and who took this momentous decision?

Is it beyond someone to organise it so that this information is issued in time for other arrangements to be made for such a momentous game?

Why do we always seem to find out things after the event instead of before?
