9.50 a.m. The President and Mrs Abela receive Italian President and Mrs Giorgio Napolitano, at the Palace, Valletta.

7.40 p.m. The President and Mrs Abela host a state concert and dinner in honour of Mr and Mrs Napolitano.

6.30 p.m. The President attends the tree-planting ceremony by Mr Napolitano at San Anton Palace.

6.50 p.m. The President and Mrs Abela bid farewell to Mr and Mrs Napolitano.

9.30 a.m. Mrs Abela visits Angela House in Guardamanġa.

10.30 a.m. The President receives a farewell call from Estonian Ambassador Andres Tomasberg at San Anton Palace.

11 a.m. The President receives a courtesy call from Lucy Stewart, president of the Maltese Association of Queensland, Australia.

11.30 a.m. The President receives a courtesy call from Commissioner for Children Helen d'Amato and Commission staff, at San Anton Palace.

Sunday

8.30 p.m. The President and Mrs Abela attend a reception hosted by US Ambassador and Mrs Douglas Kmiec, on the 234th anniversary of US Independence, at the Upper Barrakka Gardens, Valletta.
