Mediterranean Bank has launched Sterling fixed term deposit accounts.

The bank is offering rates ranging from 2.75 per cent annually for one-year fixed term accounts up to four per cent for five-year fixed term deposits.

Two-, three- and four-year term deposits are also available. Interest is paid regularly according to the term desired.

A savings account is also available in Sterling, paying an interest rate of 0.375 per cent per annum.

Mediterranean Bank operates under the depositor compensation scheme established under the laws of Malta, guaranteeing up to €100,000 or equivalent per person.
