Valletta Living History, an audiovisual spectacular on Valletta's rich history, was inaugurated today by the Prime Minister, offering tourists and locals alike the opportunity to gain an insight into the history of the Capital, in half an hour.
The new attraction, housed at the Embassy Cinemas, features actors who take viewers on a journey through time, from Valletta's earliest settlers to the Great Siege, the building of the city, French and British rule and the role of Valletta in the second world war.
It also features the capital's architectural heritage and the way of life of the population in various stages of history.
The docudrama was penned by international-renowned scriptwriter Jonathan Rich and directed by Vince Briffa.
Dr Gonzi praised HD Entertainment, producers of the show, for their venture, saying that few cities could offer tourists the history and culture offered by Valletta.
Seeing this production filled one with a sense of pride, Dr Gonzi said.
Valletta he said, was a dynamic city would would see even more major changes in the coming months, especially in view of the City Gate project.
Entrance prices range from €9.75 for adults to €4 for children.
