Police arrest suspected beach towel thieves
Beach towels, goggles and cosmetics, which the police believe were stolen were seized from two men in their 50s after they were spotted leaving a Marsaxlokk residence on Monday night.
The police said the two, who were also carrying a home stereo and an airgun, were arrested and were helping in investigations. One of the men was hooded.
The men, a 57-year-old from Balzan and a 50-year-old from Marsaxlokk, were noted by a police patrol as they were leaving the house in St Peter's Pool Alley at 1.30 a.m.
