Wedding bells

The marriage between Marion Zammit, daughter of Michael and Rena Zammit of Marsascala, and Paul Schembri, son of Sam and Mary Schembri, of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia took place on June 7.

Nuptial Mass was celebrated at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Graces in Żabbar by Fr Sebastian Caruana. The bride's cousins, Tarcisio Tabone and Marco Haber, were best men. The bride's sister, Michelle Zammit, and the groom's best friend, Luke Haber, witnessed the wedding ceremony. The bride's sister, Loranne Avsar, was matron of honour. A reception was later held at Grabiel Gardens, Marsascala.

The couple will be spending their honeymoon in Australasia later in the year. They have taken up residence in Brisbane.
