The BOV National League continues this evening with two Preliminary Round matches at the National Pool, Tal-Qroqq.

Sirens Ritter Sports will be making their debut in this year's summer competition when they take on Exiles Jet Services in today's opener at 6 p.m.

After launching their league campaign with a 15-7 defeat to Neptunes Emirates on Wednesday, Exiles will be aiming to improve on their first-day showing in their clash with the more-quoted Sirens.

Today's second match is between San Ġiljan Firetech and Ta' Xbiex Mermaids Paradise, two teams who will be making their first appearance in this year's National League.

San Ġiljan start as favourites to claim victory this evening but their build-up to the league trek was overshadowed by the news that club stalwart Matthew Zammit has been provisionally suspended by the ASA after he failed a dope test.

Today's matches: 6 p.m. Sirens Ritter Sports vs Exiles Jet Services; 7.15 p.m. San Ġiljan Firetech vs Ta' Xbiex Mermaids Paradise.
