The national campaign against obesity, intended to reach all Maltese and Gozitans, is expected to cost €150,000 this year.

The fund will cover a campaign in favour of healthy food, well-informed choices, good portion sizes, physical activity and services such as weight management and aerobics.

The campaign is already under way and will be going on until November 2010.

The information was given by Health Minister Joseph Cassar in answer to a parliamentary question by Anthony Agius Decelis (PL).
