Health Minister Joseph Cassar yesterday confirmed that an administrative inquiry had been held into allegations of abuse at the Central Service Sterile Department and no allegation had been proven.

From Dr Cassar's answers to other parliamentary questions by Marie Louise Coleiro Preca (PL), it would appear that the allegations concerned people leaving their workplaces early and the fixing of a Do Not Disturb notice on the office door of a senior employee.

The minister said that whoever asked to be allowed to leave the department before time, including on Sundays, had the relevant amount of time deleted from their time off in lieu or vacation leave.

As for the Do Not Disturb notice it had been established that this was being put on the door during break times.
