A large part of the Children's allowance applications filed for the July 3, 2010 to July 1, 2011 period have been processed and due payments will be issued on July 3.

The Social Security Department said applications it received after the end of April had not yet been processed, along with applications that were submitted without the necessary documents or information.

The department would be issuing a provisional payment to families with unprocessed applications for the first 13 weeks of the period, at a rate of €4.81 per week for each child. The difference will be paid once the applications are processed.
