The total number of people who received the jab against the swine flu pandemic in 2009 and 2010 was 92,043. The government still has 239,620 doses in stock.

Answering a parliamentary question by Owen Bonnici (PL), Health Minister Joseph Cassar said the government was currently considering what to do with these doses. A decision would be taken after information about risk factors was received from international sources.

Although the contract with supplier GSK precluded the publication of the price per dose, Minister Cassar said the total bill had been between €2.5 million and €3 million.
