A 19-year-old woman was injured when she lost control of her car and crashed into an electricity pole in Attard yesterday.

The car, an Opel Corsa, was extensively damaged but the San Ġwann woman was discharged shortly after being admitted to Mater Dei Hospital, the police said.

A police spokesman said she was driving down Notary Zarb Street in Attard, towards Mrieħel, when she swerved into the pole at about 5.30 a.m.

The pole was removed by Enemalta workers later yesterday.
