The Prime Minister has an-nounced a new foreign direct investment project on the run-down White Rocks area.

Without analysing all the details of the project, I can safely say that such a project is surely a good idea, particularly the €200 million in foreign investment and the 800 new jobs to be generated.

All I want to do at this stage is to appeal to all parties in these talks and those who could influence them to keep the national interest in the centre stage.

Let the discussions proceed in the serenity they need and let us all hope that this project be-comes a reality. We cannot afford to derail the process for cheap political gain.
