The Prime Minister should consider enacting a decree to make the "obstruction of an act of hunting" an infringement, punishable by a fine, the hunters' federation said.
It said in a statement that such a decree has been enacted by France. Concerted acts of obstruction, preventing the conduct of one or more acts such as hunting occur were punishable by fines, it said.
"In our opinion, the Prime Minister would do well to look into similarly enacting locally, in consideration of BirdLife and German-based abolitionist group CABS, concentrated and collaborative obstructive annual efforts against Maltese traditional socio-cultural hunting," the FKNK said.
