Malta and Bosnia this morning signed an agreement on the the readmission of persons between the two countries.
The agreement was signed by Foreign Minister Tonio Borg and his Bosnian counterpart Sven Alkalaj, who is in Malta on a two day visit.
The agreement will benefit some 220 Bosnians who fled to Malta during the Bosnian war of the 1990s and have now settled in Malta and married here.
The two ministers discussed a double taxation agreement and an Investment Guarantee Agreement to boost business exchanges.
Malta recognised Bosnia-Herzegovina as an independent and sovereign nation on the 8th April 1992.
