One lucky band will get the opportunity of a lifetime to support Winter Moods at its summer concert.
Winter Moods, along with Bay Radio, has kicked off a nationwide hunt for unsigned talent. The competition is open to all new bands that have not yet released any recorded material on radio, making it a unique opportunity for groups looking for their big break.
Application forms are available from Bay Radio in St Julians and must be accompanied by a music demo. Ten entries will be shortlisted and the winning band will be announced shortly after. It will be invited to perform a total of three songs, including its original material, during Winter Moods' live concert at the Granaries, Floriana, on July 28.
Winter Moods frontman Ivan Grech said: "The Maltese music scene is very important to us and we have always done our best to support other bands that are still cutting their teeth."
"Winter Moods has always remained true to its roots and this is why we decided to launch this competition. This is a fantastic chance for new bands to break into the scene," he added.
