The share prices of HSBC Bank Malta plc, Bank of Valletta plc and Lombard Bank Malta plc all slipped lower today as investors continued to shun banks equities. HSBC shed another 1.2% to €2.845 across 10 trades amounting to 19,600 shares. BOV eased 0.4% lower to €3.285 on volumes of 10,200 shares while a single trade of just 285 Lombard shares was transacted at the €2.80 level, representing a 2.3% drop from the previous close.

Crimsonwing plc shares were active for the first time in over three weeks. The share price sank 6.9% to its ‘limit down’ price of €0.419. A total of 11,500 shares traded. Shortly before the close of today’s trading session, the IT Group announced that it has been awarded a three-year contract for the provision of IT services and solutions with an estimated value of €3 million per year.

On the other hand, Malta International Airport plc moved back into positive territory as its share price climbed 2.5% to close at the €1.60 level on volumes of 6,470 shares. Middlesea Insurance plc also increased sharply. This equity climbed 5% to the €0.898 level across four trades amounting to 4,518 shares.

On the bond market, Simonds Farsons Cisk plc and Eden Finance plc yesterday evening announced their allocation policies. Meanwhile, Tumas Investments plc today published the Formal Notice relating to its new 6.2% bond issue. Application forms are available as from tomorrow 11 June and subscriptions open on 25 June.
