Archbishop Paul Cremona is in Rome leading a group of 20 Maltese and Gozitan priests for events marking the Year of Priests.

The group joined 11,000 priests from 110 countries in a congress for the clergy to assist priests to grow further in awareness of their vocation and renew their commitment to the priesthood.

The Maltese priests form part of the English-speaking group which is meeting at the Basilica of St Paul Outside the Walls (Basilica di San Paolo fuori le Mura).

The Congress comes to an end tomorrow, the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, when Pope Benedict XVI will celebrate Mass in St Peter's Square to mark the end of the Year for Priests.
