Rafael van der Vaart is confident Holland have the quality to compete with the very best this summer and be in with a shout of winning the World Cup.

Holland are not generally considered to be among the favourites - who number Spain, England, and Brazil - but Van der Vaart is warning opponents not to underestimate the quality they have in their squad - particularly if Arjen Robben can recover from a hamstring injury in time to take part.

"We have very good players like Spain, and a very good coach," he said at an event hosted by gaming site bwin.com.

"We have Sneijder, Robben, we have lots of quality. And if we get there in good shape, we definitely have possibilities to win the World Cup."
